Hello everyone I bought the Philips screen. Then I have a Logitech Wireless keyboard and a Logitech Wireless mouse. Then I have the ThinkPad laptop from Lenovo for business (various ports) and a MacBook for private use (only USB C ports). I'm just wondering what kind of docking station I need? Can anyone help me? There are various docking stations from Lenovo to choose from. I would also like to be able to charge the laptop via the docking station. Help!
None at all. The screen has an integrated USB hub. You can connect your mouse, keyboard, LAN and other devices to the screen. You have 2 USB-C inputs and can therefore connect 2 laptops at the same time, both of which are supplied with power. You can switch between the 2 USB-C inputs with 3x CTRL or the OSD menu or set a split screen and then see both screens at the same time.
You don't need another docking station. The monitor has everything you need. However, you can't use the KVM switch because the Mac doesn't support it.
I have solved this as follows.
Windows computer connected via USB-C. Mac via USB-C to DisplayPort. This was the only way my MacBook Pro 2018 allowed the full resolution. In addition, another USB-C in the MacBook for the power supply and at the same time the possibility to connect USB-A. Equip each MacBook and Windows computer with a Logitech dongle. And then simply switch between device 1 or 2 with the on the keyboard (force). Mouse as well
