This cannot be generalised if it is an import. Moreover, this only affects certain smartphones from certain brands in China, which often have their own app store or a "more popular Chinese store" installed. According to my information, the Google Playstore and other Google services are installed as standard on all models.
German is also available according to my information.
I have had the Asus rog phone since January. It is not an import smartphone in that sense. At the beginning, you can choose the language (German). It's just like any other smartphone you buy in Switzerland. Make the basic settings, then it runs without problems. All Google apps are pre-installed.

As I understand it on the forums it is only software related. You can flash and boot up the WW version, it's just too damn complicated. Maybe it's too complicated for me, but others have no problem. I don't expect anything from their support anyway.
