Hello everyone I would like to ask if it is normal for the CPU temperature to rise to approx. 85° C when gaming (I have installed the corresponding fan on an asrock b550m pro 4 motherboard, in a MasterCooler Cooler Q300L). Could someone help me? Thank you very much.

Helpful answer

The supplied fan is rather slim for gaming, but 85° is completely okay and not a problem at all.

Hello Oleiper

The temperature that the CPU reaches during gaming depends on many factors. Among other things, whether you are playing unit-intensive strategy titles or simpler first-person shooters on small maps with a maximum of a handful of players. However, 85°C as the maximum temperature during gaming is not a problem. The important thing is that the temperature remains as stable as possible and more or less immediately returns to the normal range after closing the game.

The design of the case can favour or hinder efficient cooling of the installed components. However, if you don't overclock the box (which I don't think would be possible with the chipset anyway) and it runs stably, then everything is fine :-)

Greetings and have fun gaming

85° is absolutely acceptable. The boxed coolers in particular are rather weak for gaming, but are sufficient. At more than 95° I would look for a thicker cooler and better conductive paste.
