I have a Mac Studio and a Mac Studio Display 27" connected to it. I have connected two external Samsung T7 hard drives to the Studio Display.
When I switch off the Mac Studio (not sleep mode), the USB-C ports on the display do not switch off. This means that the hard drives always remain switched on and stay warm. Can I change this behaviour somewhere?

Hi, unfortunately I can't answer the question because I have the same problem; I have to eject the external HDs individually to prevent them from continuing to run in sleep mode. Thanks for the question! BP
