Question about Targus DOCK190EUZ
Hello everyone! Can I also use this docking station to switch between my desktop PC at home and my work laptop? I would connect all my devices (keyboard, mouse, headset, audio interface, monitor) to the docking station and then in turn switch the docking station via USB-C between desktop PC and work laptop. Are there any complications if the docking station supplies power via the USB-C and I connect this to my desktop PC even though it is already connected to the power supply?
not sure how to connect the docking station to the PC via USB-C. PCs do not normally transmit the display signals via the USB-C ports. Especially since the graphics card would have to do that. There are mainboards that have display port input to loop the signals through, but I don't have anything like that. The docking station does not have KVM features. Monitors have that nowadays more often. To share USB devices between the PC and everything connected to the docking station, I use a USB switch like this: Ugreen 30767 Hub - this also works with the web cam (not automatic - you press the button on the USB switch).
