Question about Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max
Hello Digitec! I am planning on buying this phone and gift it to someone in Asia. Is there any kind of SIM card lock? Will it work in countries outside EU?
As far as I know, there is no SIM lock. As long as you don't give it away to China (where mobiles are regulated differently and Apple offers a special version), the whole thing should basically work. However, different countries have different radio frequencies (5G, WLAN etc). And the warranty, etc., probably also goes down the drain. Personally, I wouldn't risk that with such an expensive device.
