Hello Digitec Team, What is driving today's significant price increase for the Pixel 3? Google's sales prices are known, exchange rates have not changed much and you know your way around imports. The competition is still selling at around 900 (64 GB model). Is it supply and demand? I've often noticed that your prices for mobile phones are subject to relatively high volatility. I see the fact that the prices with the contract partners are not yet final and that the prices tend to fall again as a relatively weak answer here if the amount is charged to the credit card immediately when the order is placed in advance. I would wait for Black Friday and see what it costs then at Amazon USA and what special offers Digitec offers on Black Friday.
The main problem is that Switzerland is not an official launch country and Google is not interested in working with us. Therefore, in order to offer our customers high-quality products, we have to import the phones at a high price. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the prices will come down before the release. However, if the price should go down, we will make an automatic price adjustment to the lower price for the existing orders that were still made at the higher price. (We will not make a price adjustment to the higher price).
I totally agree, especially because a few sellers (Brack, PC-Ostschweiz) still have it for 999. I'll wait and see, but I certainly won't buy it for 1099 - fortunately there are price alternatives.
