Hello Community, I bought the Garmin 1040 and am very satisfied so far. The device can definitely do more than I can but there is good potential for me. :-) Question, I bought the heart rate belt in the bundle. So far it has worked well. Now all of a sudden it doesn't. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? The BT connection is established but no HR frequency is being transmitted. The belt is 2 months old and has been in use for about 20 hours. I would replace the button cell as a test. If that doesn't help, I recommend contacting Garmin directly. They have great customer support.
I had the same problem. After replacing the button battery, everything worked perfectly again.
