Hello Community, Hello Digitec, I hope one of you knows the cause and ideally has a solution to my problem. It concerns the Dell Alienware 27 AW2725Q monitor. The problem: The monitor emits a kind of constant, annoying whirring noise. Connected devices and cables: I use the monitor with the following devices and connections to show how I use it: Device 1: HP Laptop via DisplayPort Device 2: MacBook Air via DisplayPort Device 3: PS5 via HDMI The buzzing practically always occurs and is annoying. :( Many thanks for any input. Andreas

Update (21.01.26) to my problem description:

Hello everyone,

quick update on my problem with the intermittent buzzing/squeaking of the Dell OLED monitor:

I contacted Dell support and was really impressed with the excellent customer service.

The answer: The noise is coming from the internal fan (for heat dissipation) and is normal, expected behaviour for these monitors and not a defect. The fan can also run in standby for pixel refresh. The volume is below 32 decibels.

Problem solved and all-clear!

I bought it about two months ago. It doesn't give me any kind of hum or buzz. Try using the warranty, maybe it's a factory error
