Hello all I would like to buy two Gigabyte monitors to which I would like to connect a PC and a notebook. The idea would be as follows: I would connect the PC via DP and the laptop via https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/targus-usb-c-dual-4k-usb-c-dockingstation-usb-hub-15779385 to the monitors. Now to the question: How can I share the USB devices that I connect to the monitors? Via the USB B port with the PC and via USB C with the laptop? Does this setup work? Merci and greetings Romeo
My setup works as follows:
Laptop via usb-c directly at the display
PC via DP & USB-B
The KVM at the display decides via the display input to which device the USBs are forwarded.
I am not sure if this would work if the laptop did not provide the display output via USB-C. I.e., the dock you are using would have to be able to provide two display outputs via USB-C. Two 4K outputs certainly requires Thunderbolt, but otherwise I can't help with the dock selection.
Funktioniert eventuell diese Kabel vom USB C vom Monitor auf dem Targus USB-C Dual ?
