Should certainly also work on a Macbook Pro.
The screen must be used with a USB-C PD port and cannot be connected to the device or cable with any adapter. If a USB-C multi-port hub is used, it absolutely needs a PD output, such as the Goobay Multiport Goobay Multiport (4Ports).
PD stands for Power Delivery...
I use the screen on a Lenovo Yoga 730.

According to Asus, this screen is compatible with any notebook that has a USB-C or USB-A port.
