What system do they play on?
PS4 or PC?
There may be other origins depending. 
If on PS4 is the steering wheel in the right mode? I meant you can reverse the pedals. Check the Thrustmaster site. 
If playing on PC then it could be the drivers or the mode of the steering wheel. It must be set to PS3.
