Question about Bowers & Wilkins PX7

Hands off!! I have been using Bowers&Wilkins speakers and headphones since 1994, especially because the sound of the brand was open and neutral. These headphones have been brought into the mainstream. The bass covers everything, it sounds like the headphones are in a cardboard box. Not suitable for music lovers!

Firstly, this is not a question about the product.
Secondly, headphone manufacturers are now under pressure - they have to adapt to the mainstream, otherwise they will disappear. And it should be clear to everyone that Bluetooth headphones with ANC are not aimed at the hi-fi audience.
PS: I also bought the headphones and don't think that the bass would cover everything.

I think there is something to Bitterli.f1's statement. All in all, the sound is good, but I would have expected a bit more brilliance, clarity and stage image from B&W and this price segment. It just depends on the demands and personal preferences. Certainly better than most headphones, but for me it's not the perfect audiophile listening experience.

Well well well .... In terms of price/performance comparison, no other brand can even come close to offering the same quality. Even Sennheiser & Co can't compete in this price segment. If your quality is "masked by bass", this is 100% certainly due to the audio quality of your songs and not to the headphones. Anyone who listens to MP3 files and expects quality can no longer be surpassed in naivety. Sennheiser & Co definitely have stronger models, but in the price segment from 1500 upwards.
