Question about SteelSeries QcK+

Had already bought the mouse pad QcK (L) from Steelseries 6 years ago, at that time there was some kind of "slip impregnation" on the textile. This time it wasn't like that, and the mouse pad feels slightly "scratchy" :( -Is this also the case for you and does it subside with time of use? Or should I register it as defective?
