A graphics card is actually always compatible. And since your processor is still pretty good, you can upgrade the graphics card without any problems and expect considerable additional performance. As SwissCow has already said, your power supply should have at least 600 watts.

It depends on your power supply.
With this configuration you need at least a 650Watt that has an 8pin PCI connection for the graphics card.

The graphics card is compatible with the rest of the PC.
