FP 4 has a 5-year warranty from Digitec. FP 5 only 2 years. Why?

You can extend the warranty to 5 years directly at Fairphone by uploading proof of purchase.
I just did that too, and your question reminded me of it :D

You must register the phone, then the warranty is extended to five years.
