For the function "Hearing improvement" Resp. "Hearing aid": Does the mobile have to be nearby or is it possible without it? Can the function also be used with the iWatch?

For the "Hearing enhancement" or "Hearing aid" function on the AirPods Pro 2, the mobile (iPhone or iPad) must be nearby and connected in order to use the settings and functionality.
- The hearing aid function and the hearing test require a connection to an iPhone or iPad that has the latest firmware and iOS or iPadOS 18.1 or newer.
The function cannot be used with an Apple Watch alone, as the settings and processing of the audio signals are carried out by the iPhone or iPad. However, the Apple Watch can be used in combination with the iPhone or iPad to control the AirPods Pro, but the hearing aid function itself requires the connection to the iPhone or iPad.
