For my system I need: 1x24PinATX / 1x8Pin + 1x4Pin CPU / 1x6Pin PCIe (on the mainboard) and two 8Pin and two 6Pin per graphics card (2 GTX970 in SLi).
Now my question:
If I see the scope of delivery correctly, I am missing exactly 2x 6Pin PCIe after buying this set. Can I create these separately somewhere?
Something can't be right here, or am I getting it wrong? I used to have 970s, but they don't need electricity...
- "1x24PinATX": OK
- 1x8Pin + 1x4Pin CPU": = 3x 4 Pin CPU - I'm not sure if the 8 Pin EPS = 2x 4 Pin CPU. but it should either fit in without any problems or not. Otherwise, you will probably have no problems with "only" 2x 4 pin in normal cases.
- 1x6Pin PCIe (on the mainboard)": What for? Do you really need it? I have 2x 2x 4 Pin = 2x 8 Pin at the VRM and I also have such a connection above the PCIe slots on the board. But I haven't noticed any advantages with it and that's why I haven't connected it for a long time. The manual doesn't say anything else about it either. My 6950X Extreme CPU, the two 1080 Ti and many more would probably still run OC without problems if I had only connected 2x 4 = 1x 8 pin, if I hadn't even tried it once. GraKas get separate power anyway... Does the manual say anything about this?
- "Two 8-pin and two 6-pin per graphics card (2 GTX970 in SLi)": ?????
That can't be right!?! You mean 1x 8 pin + 1x 6 pin per card? Which seems like a lot to me! Doesn't that work with one 8 pin alone?
