Doesn't the steering wheel wear out because of the removal mechanism? And is it compatible with the Playseat Challenge?

Use it for 2 years with the Playseat Challenge, with daily rim changes the screw gets a little worn out but can be replaced with a new one from the hardware store , no problem.
