Question about MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING 4G
Does this graphics card need an external power supply or does the 6-pin x 1 have to be connected or is the power supply via PCI Express sufficient?
I have just used this graphics card model myself and for this model the 6pin connection is necessary to provide the power for the card and especially for the two fans.
However, if you want a model that only draws power via the PCI Express slot, then I recommend the MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC (also from MSI, with the same Nvidia chip, just one cooler less and a little less "fancy").
The 6-pin connector on graphics cards must always be occupied, otherwise the graphics card will not receive enough power and the system will probably not start.
