Does this filter also cover the infrared range, or is it only for visible light?

The filters have an IRND filter function. The manufacturer specifies the following: Uniform attenuation of visible light/infrared light from 400 nm to 700 nm, and uniform attenuation of the infrared component from 700 nm to 1100 nm.
