Does this docking station also work when you try to connect it to a Macbook Pro with a USB Type A to USB Type C cable?

Unfortunately, I can't answer this question because I don't have a Macbook. I can only say that the Dockin Station works perfectly with the supplied cable (notebook connection type A). If the connection cable should also be available in the type C version (possibly sold separately), it should work, as it is actually the same interface. Sorry that I can't help you any further!
