Does this also work with APS-C, e.g. Sony Alpha a6400?

Yes, it will work on the A6400. But you will have a crop and therefore not 90mm but something around 135mm.
Clear. Works perfectly with APS-C. The crop is even a big advantage for insect photography, for example. I like to use the 90 on the A6600.
