Does this also work if you want to switch from 1x 6Pin to 1x 8Pin? Or do both 8Pins have to be used? My GPU has 1x 8Pin and my power supply 1x 6Pin, but I can't find an adapter that has single 6Pin to 8Pin.

This is possible because the adapter works on the principle of parallel connection. up to approx. 150 watts, no more!

I see the question has already been answered. I can confirm that both 8-pin plugs do not have to be used. In my case, the second 8-pin connector is loose in the housing and it works perfectly.
