Does the tabletop feel valuable? I've just been to IKEA and I'm pretty disillusioned. I don't expect miracles, but it would be nice if it at least didn't feel - and look - like cheap goods.

It is a table with high quality motors. The tabletop is made of wood with plastic laminate. I find the price/performance ratio good.
I had one of the IKEA tables and the electronics gave up the ghost shortly after the warranty expired. There were no more replacements because of the system change.
