Does the mouse wheel have a ratchet, as we know it from the past, or just a freewheel? I just can't get used to this freewheel....

You have both and can switch between the two modes at the touch of a button. You can also select the button for this. In addition, in grid mode, it switches to freewheel when you scroll quickly, which is very useful when you need to browse a long document. This is the ultimate mouse for the office.
