Does the docking station charge the notebook?

Only DELL can come up with something like this, a docking station that doesn't charge the notebook or that can't be charged by the laptop. Now I need two power supplies, one for the docking station and one for the laptop. Complete nonsense...

No. The docking station does not have a power connection for the notebook.
