It is recorded in individual clips of 1 or 3 or 5 minutes. 
When the card is full, the oldest clip is overwritten. 
When the crash sensor is triggered or the emergency button is pressed, this clip "moves" to the "protected" area (approx. 30% of the memory card is reserved for this).

The camera records continuously, i.e. in individual sequences, the length of which can be selected. When full, the oldest sequences are overwritten. When the button is pressed, the previous and current sequence are saved permanently. Data protection compliant.
