Does the Apple Pencil 2 also work or can the device only be operated with Pencil 1?

The new Pencil 2 only works on the new iPad Pro models (see also https://www.apple.com/chde... below). However, the new Pencil from Logitech (shown as an accessory) also works with this iPad.
