Does the 5G work properly with Sunrise without hacking nowadays?

No it still doesn't work. You have to edit the carrier file or you're out of luck. Even worse: with android 11 they locked the possibility to edit the file. No workaround known yet.

I don't think that this is the proper way to ask the question.

This phone will work fine with 5G as long as the provider provides a good 5G coverage.
