Does it work between two concrete buildings 700 metres apart as the crow flies? Or only outdoors without solid concrete walls in between? I've read that people sometimes have reception problems, hence my question... Thank you.

700 metres as the crow flies is not a problem in itself.
But with 2 concrete buildings it becomes difficult. The part generally doesn't work so well in the city.
