Question about Microsoft Modern

Does anyone know why this keyboard has not been available almost everywhere for some time now? I have such a keyboard in the shop, but would like to buy one privately. Unfortunately, it is nowhere to be found. Even the not so professional shops show all out of stock. Will it ever be produced again or is that it? If that's it, does anyone know of a similar keyboard? The requirement profile would be as flat as possible, yet with a good touch, long battery life and, most importantly, a fingerprint sensor that's as good as the Modern Keyboard.
