Does anyone know where to get additional quick release plates for the tripod? I bought it but no one in Switzerland seems to supply them.

Check if there are Arca Swiss tripod plates for your camera, they will fit the C5i. Otherwise all other Acra Swiss compatible tripod plates will fit.
