Question about Oehlbach XXL DAC Ultra, black

Unfortunately, this device really doesn't work with a Mac via USB, I've been using it for 5 years. However, it did work for us when connected to Airplay via the optical port. However, the Macbooks (at least our iMac) still have the option of selecting optical as the output in the headphone output. Unfortunately, I don't know how this works with the new ones. But Airplay optical works in any case, but with Airplay you only have CD quality.
