Question about Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock

Does anyone have experience with this dock and Macbook Pro 2106 (2 ThB 3)? The main question is whether these MacBooks (as with other docks) also autoboot when the dock is connected, which is why a MB Pro 2016 cannot be charged when switched off. The autoboot mode is one of Apple's nasty little tricks ... with consequential effects!

Just tried it, MacBook Pro 15 (2017) turned off: there was no reboot, it is definitely off.

Yes, we are talking about the same thing. The spontaneous booting would certainly not have happened if Autoboot had been switched off on the Mac. The dock only plays a role in that it functions as a charger.

Autoboot and dock have nothing to do with each other, because the former always occurs when a charger is connected. Autoboot can be switched off, however, here are the instructions: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016...
