Question about Dreame A2

Does anyone have experience with the Dreame A2 in terms of passing under a closed garden gate? I have a sufficiently high gap under the gate through which the robot would easily fit. The area is not part of the mowing area, but is only used for the return journey to the charging station. I'm afraid that the gate will still be recognised as an obstacle and the robot will stop there. Does the A2 recognise such low passages or does it block in front of them?

Helpful answer

My experience with the A2 so far has shown that it reacts incredibly sensitively to obstacles. I have therefore even deactivated all obstacle detection (LiDAR and camera) on my absolutely flat lawn. If you do this, each obstacle must be defined once as an exclusion zone. I think if you deactivate obstacle detection, it will drive under your goal - with obstacle detection activated, it will stop 99% of the time.

Personally, my A2 has to pass under a scaffold (temporary, 2 bars to be passed at sth. 60cm high) to reach the station, which it does without any problem. Now I imagine that your gate is much lower, but I don't think that's a problem when it's a path to leave a mowing area and get to the station.
