The Dreame A2 impressed during the test with reliable mapping, uncomplicated setup and flexible operation - also thanks to the integrated 4G connection. Customisable mowing patterns ensured an even and attractive appearance. The robot only occasionally struggled with traction problems on steep slopes and occasionally interpreted taller tufts of grass as obstacles...
Like Dreame's mowing bot premiere A1, the successor is orientated with a lidar dome on the housing. It is now supported by a front camera. It recognises small obstacles much better. In the crash test, it manoeuvred around all hedgehog dummies in mowing mode. However, the A2 was the worst performer in the test when it came to auto-mapping using the AI camera...
