Works. Switching is done on the monitor at the bottom edge with sensor buttons, and it has all possible connections at the back. From docking station to monitor e.g. with mini display port cable to display port.

Thank you very much for the information. I recently bought a Samsung 34" here and also connected it via MiniDisplay Port to Display Port. This works in principle, but the scaling in Windows or CAD is not really suitable, despite numerous tested setting options. Ultimately, the resolution is probably "too good" for CAD. However, 1920 x 1200 should be the most suitable. That's why I'm now trying to make a better choice at the second attempt....thanks again.
