Found the answer in a review
" The clamp is definitely not designed for the iphone 12 models.... Have to take my iphone 12 pro max out of the case every time i want to use it with the gimble, a bit annoying. Would be nice if DJI comes out with a bigger clamp soon."

I use the Dji Osmo 3 fits perfectly for the Iphone 12 Pro Max is yes the same can also film without dji program 😅
