Do we need Hue Bridge for this product to change the colors?

Yes, you need the bridge. Otherwise it's just a lamp that lights up white when you plug it in and stops as soon as you unplug it. If you don't have a bridge Philips Hue Bridge is recommended. The set price is currently not proportional.
