Question about Hombli Smart Swiss Socket 2+1
Do these sockets also work with Apple HomeKit? On Digitec it only says Google Home and Amazon Alexa, but on the manufacturer's website (https://www.hombli.com/de/products/smart-socket/) it says that they also work with Siri. Does anyone have any experience with this product?
No, they do NOT work with HomeKit or possibly only in a roundabout way. At TechMania, HomeKit was explicitly mentioned in the description, which is why I bought it there.
When I unpacked it, I was disillusioned to find that both Siri and HomeKit are not supported. Only Alexa and Google were shown on my package.
I finally found it with these instructions: https://www.hombli.com/manual
Important: The "Add to Siri" button (step 4) only appears after the shortcut has been created (step 3).
This means you can integrate the sockets with Siri/Shortcuts - but not HomeKit.
Using shortcuts, it is also compatible with Siri, but not with HomeKit
My package only had Amazon and Google on it, but the booklet that came with it explicitly said "compatible with Siri". I haven't figured it out yet, I bought this one because I want to use it with HomeKit.
Is ZigBee supported?
My idea would be to read it out using Zigbee2Mqtt and send it to Homeassisstant.
In itself it doesn't matter but it may not work.
You have an app with an on/off switch, which is much more convenient than voice control.
