Yes, the Vive works standard with Steam on the PC.
depending on the budged, the upcoming Vive Cosmos is interesting...

Yes, it works... But I advise against the "HTC Vive Wireless Adapter". The high resolution doesn't really work well. Has like snow flurries. But with the smaller HTC Vive flawless.
