Do Bluetooth speakers actually work via their own app, or can I play the music directly in Amazon Music, for example?

The Bluetooth speaker plays the sound from all your sources on your phone. It's just like plugging in a pair of headphones. Often there is an app for the speaker to make settings on the speaker, but not to play music in it...
