Could the missing FLAC support be added to the device with a firmware update?

This is a question for the manufacturer. I would guess that TEAC could add a new CODEC to a product, but would be unlikely to provide firmware updates to existing versions.

I don't know, I don't need the USB connection and only use the CD player and the DAB radio.
