The PD-301DAB-X is equipped with a compact, high-precision slot-load CD drive designed exclusively for professional audio applications. Thanks to its quick loading times and automatic playback feature, users can enjoy music almost immediately after inserting a CD into the slot.

Conventional digital audio formats such as MP3 and WMA can be played from CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW discs. Additionally, music files in AAC and WAV formats are supported when played from a USB flash drive plugged into the front USB port. The player can display ID3 tags, song titles, and artist names from MP3, WMA, and AAC files on its LCD screen.

The PD-301DAB-X is equipped with a powerful DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter), the PCM5142 from BurrBrown, which provides silky smooth audio reproduction. With aluminum panels for the front, sides, and top of the player, the PD-301DAB-X offers exceptional rigidity, minimizing the negative effects of unwanted vibrations on sound quality. All of this is housed in a unit with a minimal footprint of just 215 mm x 232 mm, allowing the device to fit comfortably even on the smallest desk.

Unlike most other CD players, the PD-301DAB-X also features a DAB/FM tuner module within its compact casing. In addition to conventional analog audio outputs, the audio output from the integrated DAB/FM tuner is also available through digital audio outputs via both coaxial and optical connections. These connections also provide digital audio from CD. Please note that the digital audio output format is PCM 44.1 kHz/16-Bit, regardless of the resolution of the original source.
