Could it be that the quality of the foam deteriorates over time? I bought the machine about 14 months ago and the foam is never as firm as it was in the first few months?
If it is regularly maintained and cleaned, it is not. (cleaning, descaling, etc). And use the right milk (3.5% or more). With ours (also bought here over 4 years ago) everything is fine.
It is important to maintain and clean the machine regularly according to the maintenance schedule. This will also maintain the quality of the milk foam.
