Compared to my old WD 3TB, these disks are really loud (I didn't hear the disks in my NAS before)... Have you had similar experiences?

Helpful answer

I had 2TB Red and Green before, and they were barely audible. The 10TB are quite annoying, the read head constantly makes noises. But that could also be due to the new NAS.

I don't find that the disk in my QNAP is louder than the 4 GB in my WD MyCloud. Of course I hear it, but it doesn't bother me.
Compared to the 4GB MyBook, it is whisper quiet...

Yes, I can also confirm that. Compared to disks with small capacities, the 10 GB are much louder. One, maybe more, buzzes even for a few weeks. But Synology says everything is OK. When similar humming became noticeable years ago, one of the disks failed. I expect something similar soon.
