Can you also use it for PC NZXT fans and do you need a 3-pin rgb connector on the motherboard for this controller?

This controller is designed to control commercially available LED strips. There are 3 connections on the controller: On the left in the picture is the 12 volt DC connection, in the centre is the connection for the LED strip (labelled RGB) and on the right is the infrared receiver for the remote control signal (IR) on a short cable.
The RGB connection is not used to connect to a motherboard.
