Can you also hang a 24 inch monitor on it, I mean it is the same vesa size and weight is also sufficient?

I have a 24" on it.... without any problems.

I hung an ASUS VG278HE (27") on it.
In terms of stability/workmanship, you could probably hang much larger monitors on it. So no problem for 24".
