Thunderbolt 2 is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 1, which means: yes, it is possible.

I have used this dock successfully and without problems on a MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2012 with thunderbolt (10 Gbit/s), but not on a corresponding iMac.
